A Free Online Infohygiene Course for Teenagers Launched in Ukraine

A gamified course designed for teenagers and their parents focuses on developing critical thinking skills, digital safety, and social media literacy — available at: https://unicorn.itstep.org/infohygiene-training-course.
The project targets children aged 12 and up, along with their parents. Hosted on the Unicorn School platform, the course is presented in the form of an interactive game featuring characters, quests, and rewards. The content is engaging and easy to understand.

The course was created by infohygiene expert Oksana Moroz and psychologist Kateryna Holtzberg. Its goal is to help teenagers identify fakes, manipulation, and information attacks, as well as to better understand how media platforms work — including algorithms on TikTok, YouTube, and Instagram.

The creators emphasize that, in a time of information warfare and digital threats, it is crucial to teach children how to analyze information independently and to encourage parents to maintain an open dialogue about online safety.
