The Cyberpolice, together with the Magnolia NGO, uncovered a child pornography distributor
Cyberpolice officers from Khmelnytskyi region, in cooperation with the Magnolia NGO and investigators from the Khmelnytskyi region police, identified a 44-year-old man from Khmelnytskyi who was distributing pornographic photos and videos involving children online.


The arrest of the offender became possible thanks to the StopCrime project (https://stopcrime.ua/who-we-are), created by the Ministry of Digital Transformation of Ukraine, the Cyberpolice Department of the National Police of Ukraine, and the Magnolia National NGO.
Citizens sent links to illegal content through the portal. Operators from the Magnolia NGO analyzed the received information using specialized IT technologies and forwarded it to the Cyberpolice to identify the individuals involved in creating and distributing the content.

The Cyberpolice identified a resident of Khmelnytskyi, who, for extra income, created and managed 11 websites to distribute illegal content.
An expert examination revealed that the photos and videos posted on the websites created by the man contained child pornography.
Investigators arrested the offender and charged him under parts 3 and 4 of Article 301-1 (Production, distribution, and sale of child pornography) of the Criminal Code of Ukraine. The court set his pretrial detention with the possibility of posting bail. The suspect faces up to 15 years in prison for his actions.
Currently, the police are also identifying the “consumers” of the illegal content.
