Youth understands youth better!
The last thing we want at the Safe Internet Center is to lecture anyone in a strict tone! We strongly believe that teenagers can sometimes influence their peers more effectively than adults.
How does it work?
It’s all about communication. Young people live in the same digital space—TikTok, Instagram, Telegram. They face the same challenges: cyberbullying, fake news, dangerous challenges… That’s why teenagers who are knowledgeable about cybersecurity can share real stories that their peers or younger children understand and relate to.
We are open to collaboration!
Youth have a better sense of what’s trending and can adapt valuable initiatives to current formats.
Sometimes, creating a TikTok challenge on safe password use can engage more people than a traditional informative article. That’s why we’ve entrusted our creative young team to run the Safe Internet Center’s TikTok.
In 2024, a youth ambassador from Ukraine was invited to the Safe Internet Forum. Aspiring director Nayana Mostova accepted the invitation. Moreover, she became our country’s ambassador for the SIC.
